5 out of 5: A cut above
the rest
Bkivey March 06 2005
In my fourteen years as a reader of SI, I have come to
enjoy the in-depth coverage of the major sports. I have
enjoyed the limited (and thankfully quickly) increasing
coverage of so-called "lesser" sports. The articles, for
the most part, are well thought-out and well written.
And you can always count on Rick Reilly ("Life of
Reilly"), to make you laugh or make you think.

out of 5: SI--Not Rocket Science, But a Good Read
tkerodd, Aug 16 2004
When I pick up my weekly copy of SI, conveniently
delivered to my door 'round about every Thursday, the
first thing I do is remove those annoying subscription
cards, smelly cologne ads, etc. After that, I prepare to
relax and enjoy myself by reading some light sports
fare. |

out of 5: The sports Bible
gormly, December 08 2004
Sports Illustrated is the sports "bible" for sports
fans. There is no way that any true sports fan can go a
week without looking over an issue of SI. SI is a
magazine that should be bought for the beautiful covers
alone. I myself have several issues from 1991 when the
Bulls won their first championship and Michael Jordan
appeared on three consecutive issues. I will cherish
them for life. That is what happens when an issue of
illustrated is bought. It becomes impossible just to
simply throw one away. |

out of 5: "Always has been the best"
mrosenbe, Dec 08 2004
Sports Illustrated has always been the number one sports
magazine since it has been issued. They do an incredible
job by finding what the popular sports subjects are from
the previous week. ESPN try to compete, but these two
are really different in a way and I believe that SI will
turn out on top. This magazine is one I really enjoy
reading and the pictures are remarkable. I really
recommend you to read this magazine and you too will
become a fan as well. It really is not that expensive to
have it delivered to your house every week either. You
should give it a chance if you are a sports fan. |

out of 5: A sports fan's best friend
justin, Dec 08 2004
Sports Illustrated captures the greatest moments in
sports through pictures and excellent articles. No other
magazine conveys the emotions of sports as well as
Sports Illustrated. The feature articles get to the
heart of the topic, providing well-researched and
relevant reading. Articles about sports figures shows
the reader what they're really like - both good and bad.
The pictures in Sports Illustrated are truly worth a
thousand words. They show incredibly vivid pictures of
all areas of sports. There are sections devoted to each
major sport in season. Before each season, Sports
Illustrated provides valuable insights to the coming
season. Both pro and college teams are well-covered. The
articles about each are not just reporting what
happened, but why, and what effect it will have on the
future. Sports Illustrated is a great magazine that
every sports fan owes it to himself to buy. |
