out of 5: Best Sports Magazine by a long
shot
skyrydr, June 16, 2004
The best. I have been a subscriber for years and this
magazine never disappoints. They always have an
interesting take on the important sports topics. I watch
ESPN, listen to sports radio, and seem to have almost a
glut of information, but this magazine will give you
something new every week. Best of all is Rick Reilly. He
is the little prize awaiting every reader at the end of
each issue. A lot of people really like ESPN magazine,
but in my opinion it pales in comparison to SI. |

This magazine keeps me up to date on all the scores that
I need to know. It gives me stats and more. And just
when I think I am bored with the entire thing....along
comes the swimsuit edition that just recreates the
excitement...as if I am at my first football game.

out of 5: The best sports magazine
Cathy Stucker, December 28, 2003
Although the predictions are sometimes wrong and the
editorials sound ignorant, it's the best magazine for
major sports (baseball, football, basketball, and
hockey) Don’t expect much else (soccer, swimming,
etc...) It has a few features on these every now and
then, but who cares about those anyways? |

out of 5: The Elite Sports Magazine
by odiedude, October 19, 2003
Sports Illustrated is possibly the most famous magazine
in America other then Time or Life. Its a weekly bible
on all the latest in sports news. Articles are from
elite sports writers on all sports from Football to
Little League Baseball. Rick Reilly's weekly column is
always hilarious and he is probably the most famous SI
writer today. SI is a sports fan must have. The price is
great and the magazine always comes in good condition.
For god sakes, just get this subscription. It cannot be
beat! |

out of 5: Real good
by Michael Gordon, October 15, 2003
I have been reading SI for over 10 years and I am simply
addicted to it. Since I now work in Asia, it is not
always easy to find its issues on a timely manner, and
ordering previous issues of SI has become a routine for
me every once in a while.
SI has the following 3 strengths which no other magazine
can match: 1) Its pictures are always the best in terms
of quality and creativity, 2) Its team of writers (Tom
Verducci, Phil Taylor, Frank Deford..)is the most
professional and well connected that its articles are
not just merely sports coverage, but profiles of
athletes and the sports itself. Plus SI likes to follow
athletes throughout their career so SI has very high
collectible value, for example I have got the first SI
article covering Tiger (make me so proud) 3) Its
tradition, everybody knows the influence of an SI cover. |
